Drawing Wisdom from our Roots

  • On Zoom - Registration Required ME United States (map)

Pay what you will: $25, $50, $75, $100, $0

How can we call on the ancestors for guidance? Who are our ancestors? Are they just our physical forebears, or can we also work with our spiritual ancestors, and what about the ancestors of the land? Please join Rev. Lindy Gifford to explore these and other questions.
Whether you are newly intrigued by the idea of listening to the ancestors, a bit hesitant, or have been exploring your ancestry for years, this workshop is for everyone.

Each of us must find our own way of relating to our ancestors and hearing other people's stories of ancestral healing inevitably enriches our own. Lindy will share her story and there will be opportunities for participants to share theirs in smaller groups.

Lindy will also offer prompts for reflection, journaling, artmaking, and conversation during the workshop, as well as a list of resources for future exploration. Please bring any writing and/or drawing supplies you would like to the workshop. Access to a printer is not necessary, but there will be an option to print out visual prompts.

About Lindy
Rev. Lindy Gifford was ordained an Interfaith Minister by ChIME in 2015. Before that she worked as a graphic designer and photographer, and before that she worked as an archeologist. Since ordination, she has worked as a creative coach and publishing consultant helping people to tell their stories, all the while excavating her own ancestral lines. She has a lot more to learn, but now feels ready to share some of her story, hoping others will see or hear something that furthers them on their journey.
