Community Chaplains Needed Now! Supporting Truth, Healing and Change: An Open House for prospective students and the curious.
Rev. Susan Howe ‘14 will share her chaplain’s work with The Maine-Wabanaki State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and Maine-Wabanaki REACH. Social justice can take many forms, sometimes in less visible forms than the rally or march. Bearing witness to someone's truth can begin the process of healing. For many disenfranchised people, listening to their story is the first step. Sharing and supporting efforts to bring the truth out builds community awareness. When the community has new knowledge and awareness, the seeds of change begin.
A member of ChIME's Faculty will also be there to answer your questions. RSVP suggested but not required at alaena@chimeofmaine.org or 207-347-6740.
