Hinduism: with Dana Sawyer
This workshop gives an overview of Hinduism in its many facets, ranging from its beginnings in the culture of the Vedic Aryans up to the practices of the present day. In addition to lectures and discussions about Hindu practice and philosophy, Dana will also show slides of Hindu temples and sacred cities, give an introduction to traditional Hindu chanting (kirtan) and perform a short traditional ritual. The goal will be to understand the richness and complexity of Hindu spirituality in an enjoyable and entertaining format.
