The Chaplaincy Institute of Maine (ChIME) is actively seeking a part-time (10 hours per week) Alumni Coordinator to join our team.
ChIME is a 501 (c)3 organization founded in 2002 whose mission is to educate and train interfaith leaders who serve with integrity, spiritual presence and prophetic voice. It offers a 2-3 year program comprised of weekly classes, weekend workshops and special community-wide events. The program culminates in graduation/ordination as an interfaith minister/chaplain. There are approximately 200 alumni. This number will continue to increase by 10 – 20 each year.
Position scope: The Alumni Coordinator works collaboratively with the Abbess, the Dean of Students and the Director of Administration to develop and provide services to ChIME alumni. Tasks include but are not limited to:
Work with alumni to identify priorities and implement them:
Supervision and consultation opportunities
Identify and prioritize third year options, ie spiritual direction
Participate in program development of third year options with Dean and Abbess
Coordinate volunteer opportunities for alumni
Create a newsletter for alumni every other month
Work with Director of Admin, Dean and Abbess on fundraising appeal
Work with Director of Administration to improve chaplain referral service for the community
Collaborate with other interfaith alumni organizations
Knowledge of interfaith; preferably a graduate of an interfaith seminary
Experience with volunteer management
Ability to create and offer educational programming: both in person and online
Strong computer skills
Ability to multitask
Strong organizational skills
Ability to set and reach goals
